Stoneheights was the original hay loft for Street Farm from where the hay would be thrown down to the horses stabled below, resting after a hard day’s work, happily munching away on their hay. Today, you can sit in this beautifully restored barn and watch our horses grazing happily in the paddocks below.
Stoneheights - First Floor Property
Stoneheights is accessed from a set of external stone steps which lead from the walled garden ( 13 steps in total ).
This property can accommodate up to 3 guests in a King size bedroom and the use of a fold out single bed in the open plan living area.
The private entrance door leads into a spacious open plan kitchen and living area. Natural light floods in from windows on both sides making this an incredibly sunny space and the full height ceiling with huge oak trusses give it an instant wow factor.
The carefully styled interior includes an oak kitchen, stone fireplace with a wood burning stove and an exposed feature stone wall.
The living area leads to a king size bedroom with a feature arch window with fabulous views over Harter Fell. The bathroom includes a sink, w.c and power shower.
Groceries can be delivered to your door by Asda, Tesco or Sainsburys. Our “where to eat” page has details of local pubs, restaurants, private catering companies and local food suppliers.
Items included with the cost of your stay: superfast broadband, linen, tea towels, washing up liquid, dishwasher tablets, dishcloth, salt & pepper, Toilet rolls, bin bags, hand soap, shampoo, bath mat. Kindling and Logs for wood burning stove. High chair and travel cot available upon request.
Towels are available at a small additional charge.
Gardens & Parking
The walled garden of this property are shared with three other properties ( The Coach House, Stoneyard & Stone End).
There are stunning views from every window. The garden is equipped with outdoor tables & chairs.
Unloading and loading is available to your door. Parking is available in the parking area outside the main gates.
Utilities & Services
- Our properties are centrally-heated by our biomass boiler which provides constant hot water and heating. Each property has a wood burning stove. Logs are provided at no extra cost.
- Superfast broadband.
- Storage for bikes and washdown area.
Dogs are welcome up to a maximum of 2 per property or 4 per booking. Additional charge applies.
The opportunities for walking, cycling and horse-riding are superb with an extensive off-road bridleway network. Walk the trails, climb to the top of the fells or go paddling in the crystal clear waters of the river Eden.
