Street Farm comprises five self-contained properties which adjoin each other to form a lovely courtyard setting. The properties are all fabulously furnished with a wonderful blend of contemporary interiors and original features, which include oak trusses, flagged floors and exposed stone walls. The Farmhouse boasts a 37 x 18 feet open-plan living area with a high-end bespoke kitchen, including a huge granite-surface island and oak flooring. Wall -to-wall windows offer fabulous views across the hillside and horses and sheep grazing in nearby paddocks.
Individual Property Hire
Our properties are available to hire individually on a weekend, mid-week or full week basis. The arrangement of the properties ensures privacy from one another, with each property having their own private entrance. The private walled gardens are a wonderful place for al fresco dining with stunning view of the fells and rolling countryside.
Exclusive Hire Arrangements for Large Groups
For large groups seeking a private venue to celebrate a special occasion we recommend you hire the whole complex on an exclusive hire basis. When all five properties are hired together you can accommodate up to 30 guests and enjoy exclusive use of the Spa Room throughout your stay. The Farmhouse, which is the largest of the five properties, is spacious enough for the whole group to dine together. The Farmhouse kitchen has been designed specifically with large group catering needs in mind, with double ovens, extensive fridge / freezer space, ample food preparation areas and a dishwasher. Party planning is made very simple with help from Alison and Colin, the owners. Whilst we leave you to book directly with all suppliers we are always on hand to provide ideas, recommendations and details of local suppliers to help with all your party planning needs.
Access & Facilities
Within the complex, there are four ground floor bedrooms with level access, one ground floor wet room and three ground floor shower rooms. Vehicle access is available to the door of each property. Most of the bedrooms offer en-suite facilities and there are a number of family bedrooms which make it ideal for bringing your little ones along. High chair and a travel cot are available. A large boot room provides excellent drying facilities for outdoor gear. Bike wash down and storage is available, as well as stabling and grazing for guests wishing to bring their horse on holiday.
Heating & Hot water
Heating and hot water are powered by a state-of-the-art biomass heating system and, should you need even more heat, logs are provided for the wood burning stoves.
Broadband & TV
Superfast broadband is available throughout the properties. All properties have televisions; The Farmhouse and The Coach house have Smart TV’s.
Dogs are welcome up to a maximum of 2 per property or 4 per booking. Additional charge applies.

Party planning is made very simple with help from Alison & Colin, the owners, who can provide details and recommendations for private catering, local pubs and a choice of activity providers.
There is an excellent choice of inns close by. All offer an excellent food menu and real ale. Less than half a mile away, guests can enjoy the Fat Lamb Inn and a little further away in Ravenstonedale there is the Black Swan Inn and the Kings Head.
The opportunities for walking, cycling and horse-riding are superb with an extensive off-road bridleway network. Street Farm is situated just a 5 minute walk from the Pennine Bridleway National Trail which winds its way to the top of Wild Boar Fell, a peak of over 2000ft, from where you can enjoy views across Lakeland Fells and visit a secret lake. Facilities are provided onsite for bike wash down & storage. Grazing and stabling is available for guests wishing to bring their own horse (please enquire directly with the owners for availability). Electric bikes can hired locally. In Ravenstonedale you can enjoy golf, tennis & fishing. Nearby, are the market towns of Kirkby Stephen and Sedbergh which have a good range of shops and attractions.
For relaxing moments, the complex has numerous places to sit in the garden and enjoy the views, or you can indulge yourself in the hot tub in the spa suite.
